Golden jubilee

The Sein Kur Le Kyllung, an organization of the three clans Rymbai, Toi and Najiar, will celebrate its Golden Jubilee on August 24 at the KJP Higher Secondary School, Mission Compound, Shillong, at 2 pm.

Plantation drive

On the occasion of environmental awareness campaign cum plantation programme ‘My Earth My Duty’, North East Frontier HQ ITBP, Shillong organized a plantation programme at 3rd Mile, Upper Shillong, on Tuesday. Senior officers, SOs and Jawans participated and planted around 200 saplings on the occasion.

Workshop

A two-day intensive ‘ICT Modernization’ workshop in Post Offices in North East Region was concluded on Tuesday in Shillong. Assistant Superintendents, Inspector of Post Offices and System Managers from various states in the region participated in the workshop which was organized in association with NEHU, BSNL and HCL.

Awareness

In order to create awareness amongst people about the changing climate cycles, a climate awareness programme was launched by Border Security Force Frontier Headquarter, Meghalaya, in Shillong and all BSF Sector Headquarters and Units deployed on India-Bangladesh border from August 17 to August 21. The campaign was launched under the aegis of BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA).

Meeting

The South West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner ‘s Office in collaboration with Ferrando Development Educational and Welfare Society will organize an interface meeting on climatic change adaptation on August 22 at DC Conference hall, Mawkyrwat.

General meet

The annual general meeting of Federation of Meghalaya Self Help Groups and Mahila mandals involved in ICDS supply of SNP will be held at State Central Library on August 23 at 11 am.

Book release

A book titled Ki Sur Nylla Na Dpei Ba Rhem penned by Listrimai Syiemlieh will be released on August 24 at 1 pm at Jaiaw Shyiap Community Hall by Home Minister Roshan Warjri.
