Bureaucratic reshuffle

 SHILLONG: In a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, the state government on Wednesday appointed Ripnar Lyngdoh, a joint secretary-level official, as the Deputy Commissioner of South West Khasi Hills in place of Aldous Mawlong. Mawlong will now take charge as the Joint Secretary, Labour. Moreover, PS Thangkhiew, Principal Secretary, Education, has been transferred and posted as principal secretary in charge Soil and Water Conservation, Home Guards and Civil Defence. PK Srivastava, who was on a central deputation, will replace Thangkhiew as Principal Secretary, Education.
