Fraud

* One Sanjit Bhowmik lodged a complaint at Tura PS that the following shops, Roth Motor-Meghalaya Motors, Maa Kamakhya Motors, Roy Motors and Ghosh Motors were found to be selling fake motor parts while conducting a survey on behalf of firms Bosch, Lucas, Tata Motors, Kirloskar and others.

* On August 29 at around 3 pm, security personnel of MeECL apprehended Kishan B Marak and recovered Rs 4,000, being the amount realized by serving a fake electricity bill to one Rina Pariyar at Brahminpara, Tura (WGH).

Assault

On August 28 at around 7:30 pm, three persons, Sillang Matgrik, Bansang and Pangkim and their accomplices assaulted one Jeninbirth Ch Marak at Mondol Tilla, Tura (WGH). The accused persons also threatened the elders of Mondol Tilla with dire consequences.
