Vehicle torched in Garo Hills

TURA: A mini-van loaded with fresh vegetables that was passing through West Garo Hills was set ablaze by unidentified miscreants in Phulbari area of the district during the early hours of Saturday morning, a delayed report said.

The minivan (AS19-C-4923) packed with fresh vegetables and four occupants was coming from Bongaigaon in Assam headed for Hatsingimari town of the same state when miscreants attacked it near Bangalkata under Phulbari police station at 3:30 AM.

The attackers torched the vehicle which sustained partial damage but did not harm any of the occupants.
