A group of doctors and health administrators had visited Rajasthan recently to get hands-on data about the model for use of generic medicine. Later in last month, Director himself and health minister Tapan Chakraborty had paid a visit to Rajasthan and interacted all stakeholders.

Health department has struck an understanding in collaboration with the Tripura State Cooperative Bank to start a pharmacy of generic medicine inside Agartala Govt Medical College (AGMC) complex in cooperative mode.
