Rilbong Sanatan Hindu Dharmasabha in collaboration with NEEPCO will organise English and Bengali recitations, devotional, folk, Rabindra Sangeet singing, folk and Rabindra Nritya dances, table-lahara and alpana/rongoli competitions on the occasion of the Autumn Festival scheduled to start from Sept 21.

Free training

The Rilum Foundation has invited application from economically backward people, school dropouts and unemployed youth with qualification 5th class to 10th class (pass/fail) for undergoing a 3-month training at the L&T construction skills training institute at Attibele Industrial area, Bengaluru.

Silver Jubilee

As part of their silver jubilee celebration, the Youth Wing of the Church of God, Pynthorumkhrah, will organise a free medical camp on September 13 at Umsaw village from 9am till 1pm. They will be supported by the CRPF personnel of the 67 Battalion and the doctors.

Conference

The department of computer science and internal quality assurance cell of St. Anthony’s College will organise the 1st International Conference on ‘Emerging Trend and application in Computer Science-ICETACS 2013’ at Siloam at Umsaw Khwan, Ri Bhoi from September 12-13. The inaugural function will be held on September 13 where NEHU vice chancellor Prof P Shukla will be the chief guest. The conference is technically sponsored by IEEE-Kolkata Section.

Annual day

Tendercare Nursery School, Bishnupur, as part of its Silver Jubilee celebrations, is holding its Annual Day Function at the Debakumar Das Memorial Hall, Bishnupur, on September 13 and 14 from 11:30 a.m.

Flower show

Shillong Agri Horticulture Society will organize the Annual Autumn Flower Show 2013 and fresh flower arrangement for school children at All Saint’s Cathedral Hall from September 16-18.

Training

The passing out parade of the 40th batch of the Field Assistant Trainees (2012-13) will be held on September 13 at the Conservation Training Institute, Byrnihat at 11 am. Deputy Chief Minister Rowell Lyngdoh will be the chief guest.
