SHILLONG: Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Meghalaya, organized a zonal-level Hindi Workshop at the Youth Hostel here on Wednesday. About 60 participants participated in the workshop.
Sakaldev Rai, Convenor, Meghalaya Hindi Prachar Parisad, and Dr. Akela Bhai, Senior Announcer, Akashvani, Shillong, were present as guest resource persons and highlighted the importance of Hindi in the changing scenario in our country.
RPS Thakur, Zonal Director, NYKS, Shillong, mentioned that Hindi has tremendous contribution towards national integration and also in linking the youths of the country. He appealed to the young participants to learn Hindi alongside their regional language.
A Hindi signature campaign, demonstration of placards and recital of Hindi patriotic songs were part of the workshop.
Dr. Salam D Singh, DYC, Dipankar Nandi, Teacher-counselor, Bobby Wahlang and Niranjan Kalita and official of the CPMG also contributed to the success of the workshop.
