Lightning injures four

NONGSTOIN: Four persons hailing from Mawkawah Village in West Khasi Hills Dirstrict were struck by lightning on Friday at around 12: 30 PM. They were identified as Sumarlang Dkhar (19), Kmenrilin Dkhar (20), Ibanpynhun Dkhar (16) and Pynshngain Marngar (19) all from Mawkawah Village.

All four were immediately rushed to the CHC Mawkawah. Three of them were released as they sustained minor burns. However, Sumarlang Dkhar was said to have sustained major burns and is still at the CHC.

The incident occurred when all four were at home.
