SHILLONG: Following his removal from the post of UDP party president, he UDP legislator from Mawlai, Embhahlang Syiemlieh termed himself as the ‘owner’ of the party in Mawlai and those who called meeting to remove him from the post of the President as ‘tenants’.
It was on Saturday that was removed from the post after a meeting was held by the party leaders and members. However, Syiemlieh told reporters on Monday that it is illegal to remove him as president of the Mawlai Circle since the decision was not as per the party’s constitution.
According to him, the intention of the party men to remove him was to tarnish his image in Mawlai.
