Alumni meet

The principal, Shillong Polytechnic has informed that first alumni meet will be held on October 25 at 2 pm as part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations at the Institute auditorium.

Show

The Shillong Agri  Horticultural Society,  will hold the annual autumn flower show 2013 from October 16-18.

Procession

The St Joseph’s Church (Parish Mawkhar) will organise a procession on Oct 27 at 5.30 pm.

Training

The Meghalaya state legal services authority will be conducting an induction course training programme for the para legal volunteers of East Khasi Hills from October 16 to 19 at Shillong Law College, Dhankheti. The objective of the training programme is to equip the para legal volunteers with the necessary skills and knowledge so as to enable them to perform their duties for the benefit of the people.

Dry Day

In partial modification, the office of the deputy commissioner has clarified that the dry days may be read as October 12, 13 and 14 instead of October 12 and 14. Other terms and conditions are the same.

Competition

The Rabindranath Tagore Club is organising Sarodiyo Competition 2013, the judgement will be 50 percent mobile sms by public and other 50 percent by the members of the RTC through visiting. For mobile sms voting, the number is changed due to some Sim card problem (97741-56510). The competitions are best pandal, best lighting, best discipline, best inerior decoration and best priest.

Golden Jubilee

The Church of Jesus Christ, Shillong is culminating its year-long Golden Jubilee celebration of the church with the main celebration from October 18-20 at the Students’ Field at Jaiaw Langsning.

Winter Session

The winter session of the Khasi Hills autonomous District Council will commence on October 29 at 11am at the council Hall.
