Threatening cases

* One Nessi Jana lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that her granddaughter, Aikynti Jana, had threatened her with dire consequences on several occasions.

Theft

* One Dhiraj Gurung of Jhalupara lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that on October 17, two persons – Roshan Kaushal and Vicky Biswa – were caught red-handed while stealing flower stands and other items valued around Rs 3,000.

* On October 16 at around 2am, unknown miscreants stole a motorcycle (ML-08C-9813) belonging to one Md Khaja from Nangalbibra (South Garo Hills).

Funds misappropriated

* One Subhash Chettri lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that on October 15, his employee – Montu Sah – misappropriated Rs 3,50,000.

Assault

* On October 13 at about 6:30pm, Rajesh Sharma (27) allegedly assaulted one Rahul Lama (24) at Rajaju (South West Khasi Hills). As a result, the victim sustained grievous injuries.

Accident

* On October 11, an accident took place between a motorcycle ridden by one Banithson M Marak and another motorcycle (ML-07A-6498), at Jewalli area (West Garo Hills). As a result, Marak sustained injuries and was shifted to Tura Civil Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. A criminal case has been registered.
