SHILLONG: The State Government would be issuing a directive to all District Level Price Monitoring Committees (DLPMCs) to keep an eye on the price of onion in the State.

“As it stands at present, the price of onion in Meghalaya is relatively less compared to the price in other parts of the country,” a senior government official said here on Wednesday.

He also said that the Committee would be asked to keep a check on the possibilities of hoarding of onion.
