Kasomwoshi brace earns Langsning a win

SHILLONG: A double strike by Rinsangpemmi Kasomwoshi saw Langsning snatch points as they earned a narrow 2-1 win over Nangkiew Irat in their Shillong Premier League match at the JN Stadium, Polo, on Wednesday.
Kasomwoshi opened his side’s account early, sending a shot into goal in just the 13th minute. He then doubled the lead 10 minutes later. Nangkiew, however, pulled a goal back after Tyllilang Syiem converted a 67th minute chance. Langsning, though, held on tight for a well-earned victory.
Meanwhile, in the Third Division Super League, Assam Regimental Centre crushed Rynjah 7-0, through Johnah Kuki (16), Warkhom Amal (27), Alwyn Nongkhlaw (48), Rosendro Singh (52), James (58), besides two goals by C Lalmalsawma, who scored in the 34th and 61st minutes.
