BJP appeals non-Cong parties to join hands

SHILLONG: PB Acharya, BJP national executive member and also member of the high level campaigning committee for the North East, has appealed to the non-Congress political parties of Meghalaya to join hands with the BJP-led NDA to oust the Congress from power at the Centre in the 2014 general elections.

Acharya was in Shillong to access the situation in the Shillong Parliamentary seat ahead of the Lok Sabha election. During his visit, Acharya met leaders of some non-Congress political parties and made the request.

Acharya also met senior BJP functionaries, members and sympathizer of the party and discussed the upcoming general elections.

The BJP leader also visited Jaintia Hills and met members of the West Jaintia Hills and East Jaintia Hills district committee. Saipung Sutnga BJP Mandal organised a felicitation programme for Acharya at Mynkre.
