CM heads to Slovakia

ter Dr Mukul Sangma arrived here on Friday night enroute to Slovakia and its political, cultural, and economic centre, Bratislava.

Dr Sangma is heading an official State delegation to Slovakia.Other members of the delegation include W Warshong, Asst Director, Commerce and Industry and S Kharlukhi, Horticulture Development Officer.

The delegation will be leaving on Saturday and will return on Tuesday.

Slovakia is a landlocked country with a population of over five million. Slovakia, which became an independent country in 1993 after the peaceful dissolution of erstwhile Czechoslovakia, is a member of the European Union, NATO, United Nations, OECD and WTO, among others.
