4 injured as car crashes into shop

SHILLONG: Four persons including a two-and-a-half-year-old baby girl sustained injuries when a Maruti Alto car crashed into a beetle nut shop, after the driver lost control of the vehicle at Ladweitang, Nongstoin in West Khasi Hills on Tuesday morning.

The injured persons have been identified as Risilda Rynshiang (52/female), Jepsimora Thongni (40/female), Dibina Rynthong (52/female) apartv form the baby girl.

According to sources, Risilda Rynshiang, Jepsimora Thongni and the baby were present inside the shop when the incident occurred and Dibina Rynthong was an occupant of the vehicle.

The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Nongstoin helped in shifting the injured persons to the Nongstoin Civil Hospital.
