20 holidays in 2014

SHILLONG: The State Cabinet on Wednesday approved the proposed list of holidays for the calendar year 2014. GAD Minister HDR Lyngdoh informed after a Cabinet meeting that there would be 20 holidays in 2014. Besides, the Cabinet also approved the appointment of lecturers at Shillong Polytechnic on ad hoc basis. The Cabinet, further, extended the services of an officer on special duty at Meghalaya House, Guwahati, by six months till April, 2014. The official had been appointed on a contractual basis.
