SHILLONG: Responding to the bail application filed by CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing on Tuesday, the Sessions Court Judge A Ripnar on Wednesday directed the investigating officer (IO) to submit the case diary on November 15.

The court will fix the date for hearing only after the IO submits the case diary.

It may be mentioned here that the Court of First Class Judicial Magistrate R Rymbai on Tuesday denied her bail based on the report submitted by the investigating officer of Rynjah police station where cases were registered against her.

Kharshiing’s lawyer Poonam Yadav immediately filed a fresh bail application in the sessions court challenging the lower court verdict. Yadav filed the petition in the Sessions court under Section 439 of the CrPC challenging the order of Rymbai.

Kharshiing was arrested for allegedly obstructing an eviction drive conducted by MUDA at Umsawli.
