Myntdu Leshka Hydro Electric Project

SHILLONG: Chief Project Manager of Myntdu Leshka Hydro Electric Project Elias Lyngdoh on Thursday said that the matter regarding the regularisation of services of casual employees engaged in the project would be taken up during the Board meeting scheduled to be held on November 18. The statement came from Elias Lyngdoh after villagers of the areas where the project is under progress, had threatened to shut down the project following the inability of the MeECL to regularise services of casual employees engaged in the project

According to Lyngdoh, the villagers brought some more names to be included in the list of regularised staff and MeECL had taken time since the credentials of the new names had to be verified which is bound to take some time. “We will regularise those who were affected from the project and who had worked with us till the year 2008,” he said.
