Assault

On December 8 around 6.45 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted one Michael Umsong (36) at Mawlai Nongpdeng, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was admitted at CH Shillong.

Fraud

On December 7, police arrested one Raju Datta from Jhalupara, Shillong for duping the public by taking money from them with a promise to provide them jobs in the Army.

On December 3, Md. Madidur Sarkar gave his ATM card to one Md. Imran Hussain in the Hallidayganj ATM booth (West Garo Hills) to withdraw money. When both came out from the ATM booth Sarkar realized that the ATM card has been changed. Later on the same date around 4.44 pm he received an SMS that Rs. 7500 has been withdrawn from his account.

Damage

Kalyan Singh Bhandari lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on December 7 around 4 pm, unknown miscreants damaged the glass-panes of Woodland Showroom at Bhajanlal Srinivas Building, Police Bazar, Shillong.

Molestation

On December 6 at around 4 pm, one Elbinstone Khongthohrem (Bahlieh) along with three of his accomplices molested one Shaidalin Wanniang and her maid servant Idaris Lyngdoh at Nongshyrngan village (East Khasi Hills) and threatened them with dire consequences.

Theft

On the night of December 6, unknown miscreants broke into a Post Office at Umsning and stole parcels valued around Rs. 8,752.

Police arrested two persons Pyndeitlang Sohkhlet (21) and a minor boy (14) of Mawlynrei (EKH) in connection with the burglary case at Baniun, East Khasi Hills

Threat case

T Lyngdoh, VDP Secretary, Mustem Village (West Jaintia Hills) lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on December 5 at about 5.30 pm, one Meshainbha Siangshai created nuisance in his own residence and threatened the family members of dire consequences.

Better Born Sungoh of Shangpung (West Jaintia Hills) lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on December 4 at about 7 am, he received a telephone call from one Simon Shullet, who threatened him with dire consequences.

Body recovered

On December 4, police recovered one highly decomposed unidentified male body at Assam Regimental Centre. Anyone wishing to identify the body can call PCR on the number 0364-2222277.

Lookout notice

Police has issued a look out notice against John Lyngdoh of Pdengshnong Smit who is wanted in connection with a case at Madanriting PS.
