Shillong ready to host Mind Rocks Youth Summit

Shillong: The India Today Mind Rocks, one of the country’s biggest youth events, is coming to the Scotland of the East, known for its youthful exuberance and musical ambience.

The seventh edition of the eagerly awaited edition of the event, where youths get a chance to meet and interact with the country’s biggest icons from different walks of life, will be held at the brand new State Convention Centre adjacent to Hotel Pinewood.

The event is sponsored by the Tourism Department which is the Principle Presenter. The event will be televised live across the TV Today network which owns Aajtak, Headlines Today, Tez and Delhi Aajtak.

Like in the earlier chapters, the Shillong Summit will be attended by some top stars of India.

Earlier editions of the event have featured speakers including Ajay Devgn, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Ekta Kapoor, Hard Kaur, Akhilesh Yadav, Imtiaz Ali, Ayushmann Khurrana, Gagan Narang, MC Mary Kom, Arvind Kejriwal, Mohammad Azharuddin, Kapil Dev, Nandan Nilekani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Abhinav Bindra, Narain Karthikeyan, Sourav Ganguly, Virat Kohli, Leander Paes, Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Kiran Bedi and Viswanathan Anand.

This year too, the event will have a host of celebrities from various fields the names of which will be announced shortly.

The uniqueness of the event is its interactive property. The celebrities freely interact with youngsters, taking questions from the audience on a range of issues – politics, economy, sports, literature, music and films.

Always a packed house affair, Mind Rocks is all about exchange of ideas and celebration of music.

Hugely popular for its high-voltage musical performances, the event will begin and end with enthralling musical performances. A special panel will chose the best amongst many talented artists who would perform during the event.
