BSF seizes liquor

SHILLONG: BSF troops deployed on the international border seized 204 bottles of Indian made foreign liquor from two places in Sonatala and Gausapara on Sunday.
Earlier, BSF party of Bagli in South West Khasi district apprehended one Indian national Ramesh Mahato, manager of Patacing Marak coal company, near the international boundary while he was infiltrating into Indian territory from Bangladesh.  On search Indian currency worth Rs. 38,000 and one mobile set with a Bangladesh Gramin SIM were recovered from his possession.
In the last one week, BSF troops seized 604 bottles of liquor and other contraband items.
