Threat

  • On December 30 around 3.30 pm, Tosi Pala threatened his mother Orio Pala and other family members with dire consequences, at Mookyndeng village (WJH).
  • On December 29 Manu Ch. Marak (23) threatened the residents of Rongjeng Jambal village (EGH) with dire consequences.

Molestation

On December 28, unknown miscreants broke into the house of one Rita Sharma at Lawjynriew, Nongthymmai and outraged her modesty besides robbing her of Rs. 1,350.

Destruction

  • On November 18 at around 1 pm, unknown miscreants set fire to tree saplings which were planted by Soil & Water Conservation Department at Khliehshnong Sohra (EKH).
  • Tara Thapa lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that on December 22 around 11.30 am, Madhusudan Thapa and his son and daughter, dismantled her wooden structure valued around Rs. 1 lakh, at Jhalupara, Shillong.

Assault

On December 15 at around 11 pm, four persons namely, Sumit Balmiki (23), Pritam Balmiki (19) and two others assaulted Prem Balmiki at Motinagar, Shillong. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Civil Hospital, Shillong.

Duped

Wankur Lyndem lodged a complaint at Sohra PS that on December 14 at around 2.30 pm, he received a telephone call in which the caller informed that his ATM service has been blocked and asked him to furnish the PIN to resume the service. Later, he received an SMS that Rs. 18,000/- has been withdrawn from his UCO Bank account, Cherrapunjee Branch.

Theft

  • H. Ryntathiang, Asstistant  Rangbah Dong, Lumbhalang Lawjynriew, Shillong lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that during the month of September last year, unknown miscreants stole GI pipes from his locality.
  • Anand Kumar Jha, deputy manager, M/s BSC-C&C lodged a complaint at Nongstoin PS that at around 11 pm on December 29 four unidentified miscreants in a Maruti Van (ML-05E-1948) stole 35 litres of diesel from an air compressor machine at Nongshillong (WKH).
