Malki CC win by 3 wickets to go top of Super Division

SHILLONG: Malki CC defeated Nongthymmai SCC by three wickets in a league match to take the top spot in the points table in the SCA Super Division Cricket League at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Wednesday.

Nongthymmai won the toss and chose to bat first, putting up a challenging total of 196 all out in 39 overs. Kunal Lama scored 51 runs with eight fours, while Akash Nongrum bagged 3/14 in three overs.

However, a half-century by Sylvester Mylliempdah, who also made 51 (six fours) helped Malki reach the target in 37.3 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Rohit took 2/42 in eight overs for Nongthymmai.

Malki CC have a full 12 points from three matches, with TnT Sputnik CC second with eight points from two. Nongthymmai also have eight points, but have played three games.

The next fixture will be a First Division match between Megha SC and Lumpyngngad CC at 9:00am.

Keating Road CC lead the First Division with a full eight points from two games.

One tie and a victory give Lumdiengjri six points and they are in second place.
