Megha CC win by 1 wicket

SHILLONG: In a low-scoring but close contest, Megha CC defeated Lumpyngngad CC by just one wicket in a league match of the SCA First Division Cricket League at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Thursday.

Lumpyngngad chose to bat first after winning the toss, but were dismissed cheaply for 113 runs in 25.3 overs. Arjun scored 21 runs while Mukesh took 3/10 in four overs. Pankaj Chanda also took three wickets, giving away 14 runs in 6.3 overs.

In reply, Megha CC made 116/9 in 31.2 overs. Key contributions were made by Jaspal Singh (36 runs) and Chanpreet Singh (26), while Dhiraj took 2/16 in seven overs.

On Friday, Lumdiengjri SC will play Venom Speed CC at 9:00am in another First Division fixture.
