Steps on to bring Sohan, Norrok into peace pact ambit: Rimpu

SHILLONG: An initiative is on to bring GNLA c-in-c Sohan Shira and UALA leader Norrok Momin into the ambit of the peace pact, according to ANVC-B leader Rimpu Marak.

Speaking to media persons after the tripartite meeting, Rimpu Marak said, “There is an initiative going on to bring Sohan and Norrok on board and all the splinter groups on one platform,”

The ANVC-B leader asserted that the he would appeal all the leaders of all the splinter groups to come forward and join the peace pact for the betterment of Garo Hills.

He added that the Garoland is a political demand and it cannot be worked out by taking up arms.

“We can of course raise the issue and put forward our demand but this has to be workout politically and for that we have to come forward,” Marak said
