NONGSTOIN: The Deputy commissioner (Excise) West Khasi Hills, District, Nongstoin, in Excise of power under the rule 324-A of the Meghalaya Excise Act (Assam Excise Acts and Rule as adapted), has decleared “Dry Day” in the whole of West Khasi Hills District on the January 26 on account of the Republic Day Celebration, 2014.
The Deputy Commissioner, West Khasi Hills, Nongstoin also informed to all the public that, the National Highway Authority of India will be undertaking  some of the major construction works along the NH 44-E from Nongspung-Sohwanthiang road on the January 25.  As such, the general public are requested to bear with the authorities and not to ply their vehicles along this road during 9 AM  to 5 PM on the January 25.
