SHILLONG: The owner of a cow which was hit by a local taxi recently, had to face the fury of the occupants of the vehicle after he inquired about the matter at Diengpasoh in East Khasi Hills.

According to a delayed report, on January 19 at around 7.30 pm, a local taxi (ML-05E-3197) hit a cow at Diengpasoh. When Donbok Wahlang, the owner, enquired into the matter, the occupants of the taxi, Rit Nongspung and Pyrshang Syiem, assaulted him and attempted to kidnap him.
