Murder suspects arrested

JOWAI: Jowai Police on Friday arrested two persons identified as Ram Tyngkra and Rimonlang Puden for their alleged involvement in the murder of the headman of Iongthma, Nongjngi, Elington Pale on November 20 last year. Police are interrogating both the accused.

It may be mentioned that unknown miscreants killed the headman (Rangbah Shnong) of Iongthma village, Elington Pale in Nongjngi on the night of November 20 when he was returning from a friend’s house.

He was hit from behind on the neck with a sharp weapon and he died on the spot.
