One murdered by suspected Bangladeshis

JOWAI: A herbal practitioner-cum-labourer, Ramu Chetri, was allegedly murdered by some Bangladeshi nationals inside a hut at Riah-Jalong near Tamabil (on the India side) under Dawki Police Station.

Police sources informed that the victim died inside his hut after consuming alcohol with some unidentified persons, suspected to be Bangladeshi nationals. Police recovered three empty bottles of liquor and four glasses from the hut.

The cadaver has been sent to Jowai Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination, police said, while adding that investigation has begun into the incident.
