‘Education plays vital role in all-round development of children’

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday said education plays a very important role in the all round development of a a child, however, the mere purpouse of education is not to create an educate machine but is rather enhancement of personality along with the inclusion of social and moral values.
Addressing the silver jubilee function of the Delhi Public School here, Mr Soren said that despite rampant changes in the society one should avoid lack of communication with the children. ‘Communication between the child and his parents, child and his teachers and between teachers and parents should always continue,’ he said.
‘Many incidents are today taking place as the teachers and Ethe parents are not aware about the real circumstances and the children take wrong steps when they do not know how to overcome the difficulties,’ Mr Soren said adding that concerned stake holders need to think in this direction. The Chief Minister said that it was a challenge to ensure that education is provided to every person, however the state government is taking steps to ensure that all children get the right to education, he said adding that the education in government schools should be on par with the private schools. ‘To to overcome the dissimilarities between government and private schools, the state government has provided smart classes in Kasturba Vidyalay located in Bokaro district where more tha 2,00 girls belonging to BPL families are having access to on-line education.
On the occasion Principal Secretary to the CM Sukhdeo Singh, Chairperson DPS Ranchi Sarda Nayak and Principal J Mohanty were also present. (UNI)
