SHILLONG: A meeting of the District level task force on pulse polio immunization was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Goyal.
Detailed processes such as implementation, preparation and logistic arrangement were discussed for conducting the second round pulse polio immunization programme from March 10-12 in the entire East Khasi Hills district.
During the meeting, it was also stressed to make proper arrangement for coverage especially in the high risk areas due to migrant population, chronic refusal and slums settlement.
The meeting also appealed to parents, church leaders and others to provide support and cooperation in sending their children to the pulse polio booth for immunization.
