HANM chief freed

NONGSTOIN: Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement (HANM) president Arphul Kharbani, who was arrested under MPDA, was released on Monday. Kharbani has served 5 months and 8 days in jail.

Kharbani was arrested on September 26 along with 19 others of the organization for his alleged involvement in the twin incidents of torching of government offices at Nongstoin on September 23.
