Coal labourer dies in SGH

SHILLONG: One more coal labourer died at a coal mine but this time in South Garo Hills and not the East Jaintia Hills where many coal labourers lost their lives recently.

Police said that the incident happened on March 4 at about 1 am when labourers were working in a coal mine of Lethin M Sangma at Dobakol (SGH) and suddenly the side wall box cutting of the mine collapsed.

The deceased has been identified as Md. Alom Sheikh (32) and he died on the spot.
