KHADC interim budget on Tuesday

SHILLONG: The three-day budget session of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council would start from Tuesday.

Informing this here on Sunday, KHADC CEM Ardent M Basaiawmoit informed that they would approve the vote-on-account for the first quarter of 2014-2015 during the budget session.

Basaiawmoit informed that there would not be any discussion on issues other than the vote-on-account due to forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Informing that the vote-on-account would be tabled on the first day, he said that there would be discussion on the vote-on-account during the private members business on the second day.

“The vote-on-account would be approved on the final day of the session,” the KHADC CEM said.

He also indicated that the next session of the Council is likely to be held in June where they would approve the full budget for 2014-2015.
