Invitational football tournament results

SHILLONG: Three matches were held on Monday in the 1st Meghalaya Invitation Local Football Tournament, organised by the Pay For Right Youth and Cultural Club at Malki Ground.

In the first game Wahkaji Students FC beat Mawlai Silver Lee 3-2.

Phlang Mawsyrpat Lade FC then overcame Nongthymmai Shirup FC 4-0, while Wahingdoh Toppers XI defeated Malki Sarong Laka Jong 3-0.

All three victors have now moved into the second round.

Three more first round fixtures will be held on Tuesday.

In the first, Umsning Thad SC will play Upper Lumparing Haphi Latei FC at 12:30pm. Massar S&WC will then face Nohron FC at 1:30pm, while Khliehriat Seven Young Stars FC take on Syntung United at 2:30pm.

Sports today

Royal Wahingdoh FC will play their second match in the final round of the Second Division I-League in Silchar at 5:30pm against Bhawanipore FC.

In Shillong, Nangkiew Irat will face Royal Wahingdoh in the first semifinal of the U-14 Football Tournament at Third Ground, Polo, at 4:00pm.
