Water supply rate enhanced

TURA: In view of the huge expenditure involved in fetching water for supply to different localities within Tura from Edenbari PHE Water Treatment Plant, the rate of supply of water has been enhanced. Informing this through a communiqué, Tura Municipal Board (TMB) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) stated that the rate of supply of water has been enhanced from Rs.1,200 to Rs.1,500 to meet the escalating financial necessities.

From the enhanced amount, Rs.500 will be utilized for diesel and Rs.1000 for vehicle booking the communiqué stated.

The CEO further stated that the Rs.1000 will be deposited at the office either by the customer or Foreman Partha Bhattacharjee while the Rs.500 will be used for diesel.

However, in the case of government departments and also for supply of water for public toilets, the entire amount of Rs.1,500 will be deposited at the office and diesel coupons issued, the statement added.
