TURA: The District Election Officer, West Garo Hills District, in pursuance of the instruction of the Election Commission, has issued an order to all the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to issue photo voter slips to the registered voters to facilitate identification of the voters by polling officers in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections on April 9, next.
He informed that photo voter slips would be issued from March 30 up to April 4, next in the polling stations of various assembly constituencies and the BLO would issue them under his/her signature either to the registered voter or to an adult member of the voter’s family who is himself/herself a voter.
He also asked the registered voters to collect their voter slips from the concerned BLOs during the said period.
