Deficit teachers yet to get salary for February

SHILLONG: Deficit school teachers in the State are yet to get their salary for the month of February including the arrears of the Dearness Allowance (DA) of 62 and 70 per cent respectively, as the same has been pending at the Treasury Office.

As per reports, the Directorate of School Education and Literacy department had released the salaries on March 31.

Members of the KJDSTA on Tuesday informed that they had take up the matter with the Treasury department.

“We have been assured that the salaries including the DA arrears would be paid within April 25,” a member of the KJDSTA informed.
