SHILLONG: In a bizarre incident, an armed branch constable created nuisance at Bolkinggre AD Camp recently and even threatened the in charge of the camp and the staff when they tried to resist him.
Police said that the incident occurred on April 20 at around 8.45 pm when constable, Sekdyan Sangma entered the Bolkinggre AD Camp along with two others under the influence of liquor and took away his service rifle along with ammunition.
When the official in charge of the AD Camp along with staff took back the arms for safe custody, the latter threatened them and even made a phone call to an unknown person asking him not to spare the staff of the AD Camp. Gunshots were heard at a distance after a while.
