Cultural meet
Rabindranath Tagore club, Laban, Shillong will be organizing the 7th inter Shillong cultural meet – 2014 in collaboration with Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Laban from May 11 to June 1. (every Sunday). The various competitions are art, essay, quiz, rabindra sangeet, dance on tagore song, creative dance, marathon, recitation in english & bengali, etc. All the competitions will be held in the Auditorium of Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School.
Competition
The Art School annual art and painting competition will be held on April 26 at Deva Kumar Hall, Bishnupur from 10:15 am.
Holiday
All State Government offices, revenue, magisterial courts and educational institutions in South West Khasi Hills District will remain closed on April 28 on account of Ka Shad Suk Mynsiem.
Programme
A cleaning programme of the cremation ground of the Seng Khasi at Jaiaw will be held on April 27 from 9AM.
Anniversary
St Francis D Assisi School, Siejlieh, Nongstoin will celebrate its 10th anniversary on April 26. Principal of the school, Brother Herman has requested all ex-students to attend the celebration. The parents of the students, both ex-pupils and the current ones, have also been requested to be a part of the celebrations.
