Theft

On May 2 at around 6 pm, unknown miscreants stole one mobile phone from the bag of a woman identified as Rasna Kharwanlang at RB Stores, Police Bazar.

lOne Bira Singh lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar police station that on May 2 a t around 11 pm, unknown miscreants stole three batteries from two trucks (ML-05J-4166 and ML-05F-8571) belonging to Shillong Municipal Board parked at Polo Parking Lot.

lOn the night of May 1, unknown miscreants stole twenty-four battery cells valued around Rs. 80,000 from a Mobile BTS Tower of Airtel at Laitkor, East Khasi Hills.

lOn the night of April 29, unknown miscreants broke into the office of Haldibari Higher Secondary School, West Garo Hills and stole cash Rs. 2,000.

Arrest

On May 2 at around 11.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole one battery from a water drilling truck of P. Raja Ratenam parked at Bishop Cotton Road, Shillong. In this connection, Police arrested one Tangseng Sangma (23) from 4th Furlong, Shillong and seized one battery from his possession.

Accident

On April 28 at around 10.30 am, one Tata Sumo (AS-11AC-8841) dashed against one Tata Indica (ML-08D-1622) driven by Souvik Bhowmik at Chiokgre, West Garo Hills . As a result, two occupants of Tata Indica sustained simple injuries.
