Concern over false reports

SHILLONG: The Jaintia Coal Miners and Dealers association has expressed concern over the reports that certain individuals and organizations are exploiting miners and villagers of Jaintia Hills by assuring them that the ban on coal mining will be lifted within a fixed date in return for monetary benefits to such individuals.

The president of the association, Balious Swer said that all miners have been alerted and the association has also initiated an inquiry into the entire matter.
