SHILLONG: Future inter-state transfers of footballers will be conducted through the Centralised Registration System and players must be registered with the system by May 15.
In a press release from the Meghalaya Football Association’s general secretary SS Rapthap it was made known that the All India Football Federation has decided that transfers in the next window will have to go through the CRS and all clubs and academies should be trained by their respective district associations in the workings of the system.
The MFA held a seminar on the new system earlier this month and for further information clubs should contact their respective district associations.
A fee of Rs 2,500 will have to be borne by teams looking to register with the CRS.
A separate fee has also been announced by the AIFF for clubs to pay when registering players.
