Theft

lOn May 15 at around 1 am, unknown miscreants broke into the house of one Ryan R Marwein at Forest Colony, Shillong and stole cash Rs.2,000.

lOn May 14 at around 4.30 am, unknown miscreants stole one Tata Sumo (ML-08D-2660) belonging to one Ajay Ray from Mawiong Umjapung, Shillong.

Recovered

On May 14 evening, one Tata Sumo (ML-04A-2430) was found abandoned at Polo, Shillong and was towed to Shillong Sadar police station for safe custody.

Rape

A woman lodged a complaint at Tura police station that on May 13 at around 5 pm, one Oncheng Ch. Marak raped her eight-year-old daughter in his house at Dobasipara, Tura in West Garo Hills.

Molestation

On May at 15 around 1 pm, one Sajit Ranjan Paul molested one twenty-four-year-old lady at Cherish Pharmacy, Laitumkhrah, Shillong. On May 14 at around 5 pm, Taher Ali molested one nineteen-year-old girl at Cleve Colony, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.

Torture

lOne Raja Das of Post Office Complex, Tura (WGH) lodged a complaint at Tura police station that his wife Pinky Das, a Lecturer of DIET Rongkhon, tortured him and his family members since their marriage on August 23, 2013 and forced them to leave their rented house in the same year. Following this, they filed a mutual divorce case which is still pending in the court. Further, his wife demanded Rs.3,50,000 from him and when he refused to comply, she threatened to stay with her parents at Postal Deptt. Quarter, Tura (WGH).

lMeanwhile Parul Das lodged a complaint at Tura police station that on May 13, her daughter-in-law Pinky Das (who was living separately from her son), forcibly occupied her house at Postal Compound, Tura in West Garo Hills. The complainant alleged that she has been torturing her and her son, since their marriage.
