The Rotary Club of Orchid City, Shillong will be organizing a ‘No to Tobacco’ Awareness Procession on May 30. The procession start from two locations, State Central Library and Fire Brigade.

Condolence

Glowing tributes were paid to Hasibuddin Ahmed, former Principal of Shillong Law College and a senior Advocate of Shillong Bar Association, at a condolence meeting jointly organised by Shillong Central Rongali Bihu Committee and Assam Club at the Club premises on Thursday. Ahmed passed away on May 26. Several speakers including Dhyan Sarma, Binu Hazarika, Pabitra Medhi, Utpal Hazarika and Minaram Bora spoke on the life and contributions of Ahmed towards society. The meeting observed two minutes silence in memory of the departed soul.
