Child rights chief solicits public support

SHILLONG: Chairperson of the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR), Meena Kharkongor, on Tuesday urged the people to work closely with the Commission for protection of the rights of children in the State.

Kharkongor also noted that the Commission was not functioning to its full strength since the Government was yet to appoint other members.

Kharkongor also informed that the Commission has opened its office at Nongshilliang, Nongthymmai, opposite H Elias Memorial Secondary School.
