SHILLONG: Social Welfare Minister Deborah Marak said that the Government is providing 3% job reservation to the differently-abled persons in the state.

In reply to a question by Paul Lyngdoh (UDP) in the State Assembly, Marak on Wednesday said that major issues in the memorandum submitted by the Khasi Disabilities Association relate to the job reservation, health insurance, financial assistance, reservation in educational institutions and concession in MTC bus service.

To another question, the Minister said that the facilities under Meghalaya Health Insurance Scheme are provided to the Government servants who have disabled children.
