Phulbari murder case: Manhunt launched to nab accused

SHILLONG: Police are making efforts to arrest the criminals involved in the murder of a person in Phulbari recently. The incident happened when one cow broke through the wooden boundary of a neighbour and soon the altercation turned into an ugly violence when both neighbours who are actually relatives started fighting each other with swords and daos in Phulbari, West Garo Hills on Friday.

In the tussle, the person identified as Amzad Ali was killed whereas Monnaf Ali, Alomgir Ali, Alaya Begum and Rahium Badsha were injured. When contacted, West Garo Hills SP MK Singh said that police is trying their best to nab them and some forces have also been deployed to catch them. Altogether there are five accused persons and they have been identified as Sorpot Ali, Sohidur Ali, Abbas Ali, Aynul Ali and Ambiya Begum
