Awards to three State cops

SHILLONG: The Director General, Narcotics Control Bureau, New Delhi, Rajiv Mehta, who is a former Acting Meghalaya DGP, has announced the Director General’s Commendation Rolls to Vivek Syiem, Superintendent of Police (City), Shillong and Inspector Kyrmenbha Shabong and Inspector Simseng A. Sangma of the Special Cell, East Khasi Hills District, in recognition of their achievements in the field of enforcement including operations related to drug trafficking and destruction of illicit crops.
The three police officials from Meghalaya are among 38 police officers from different police organisation in India who have been named for the award.
